What do you do with a car after a bad crash? If the car cannot be repaired or is not worth repairing, you may take it to an auto wrecker, or in other words, a junk yard. These are places where you can dispose of cars. But auto wreckers do not just stack old cars in a pile and let them deteriorate. Instead, they at least attempt to remove any useful parts from the car so they can be reused. Maybe your gas tank is still in good shape and can be put in another car with a leaky tank. Or maybe the fender wasn't damaged and can be sold as a used part. Auto wrecking is a great example of reusing and recycling — one we'll write far more about on this blog.
